He has cultivated chilli on 38 bighas of land, which has yielded good yield. Using his produce efficiently, he processes chilli powder, which reaches global markets, resulting in a remarkable income of Rs 1.50 crore from his farming activities.

In the latest report, the financial status of Dharmesh Bhai Mathukiya has been discussed. After deducting the expenses, Dharmesh proudly reveals an annual income of Rs 90 lakh. Specifically, he tells that about 60 thousand kilograms of chilli is produced every year on his 38 bigha land.

Estimating Dharmesh’s income, the current market price of good quality red chilli powder in the retail market is Rs 500 to Rs 600 per kg, if Dharmesh gets the rate of Rs 250 per kg in the wholesale market, his total income will be Rs 60 thousand. In Amrapur village located in Kunkavav taluka of Amreli district, most of the farmers are actively involved in chilli cultivation. His effective farming practices have not only gained recognition but have also attracted the attention of farmers from neighboring villages.

Dharmesh Bhai Mathukiya, a 45-year-old farmer who has studied till class eight, has been cultivating chilli for the last five years. He is an expert in planting varieties like Kashmiri Dabbi. This season, he has dedicated 38 bighas of land, resulting in an impressive yield of 60 thousand kilograms.

Instead of selling whole chillies, he processes them into powder and manages the sales himself. According to him, Kashmiri chilli powder is available at Rs 450 per kg, while Kashmiri mix is ​​available at Rs 350 per kg.

In a recent update, Dharmesh Bhai shared his hopes of producing 50,000 kg of chilli powder this year. It is noteworthy that chilli powder from his farm reaches many countries including America. With an annual production value of Rs 1.50 crore, Dharmesh’s earnings, after deducting expenses like farm labour, are Rs 90 lakh.
