HMD is gearing up to launch a new phone in the near future. The Finnish mobile manufacturer has now shared a teaser that hints at a new phone coming in May, but hasn’t confirmed the name. It is believed that HMD Global will launch an updated model of Nokia 3210. The brand, best known for its Nokia-branded phones, announced late last year that it would launch its own-brand phones in 2024 after exclusively offering Nokia phones. HMD Global has sold only Nokia-branded phones for the past seven years.

Since X’s post was published on March 18, which is the 25th birthday of the Nokia 3210, it is believed that this model will make a comeback. HMD Global also mentioned the phone’s birthday.

Meanwhile, HMD plans to launch its own brand of smartphones later this July. The company unveiled its new phones in February last week, shortly after confirming its rebranding efforts during MWC 2024. The company has confirmed that it will follow a multi-brand strategy to produce HMD original devices and continue to sell Nokia phones.

The company is also preparing to launch a Barbie-branded flip phone this summer in partnership with toymaker Mattel.
