Heavy fine imposed on airlines amid flight delays

Air India and IndiGo were fined Rs 1.2 crore each, while a fine of Rs 60 lakh was imposed at Mumbai airport in connection with an incident in which passengers were seen eating food on the tarmac.

Amid huge delays in flight operations due to fog in North India, the Center imposed heavy fine on airlines for not following SOPs.
