Woman claims co-passenger on SpiceJet flight engaged in ‘inappropriate behavior’, defendant apologizes

A woman on board a SpiceJet flight alleged that a male passenger misbehaved with her, a SpiceJet spokesperson said on Sunday. The flight was bound for Bagdogra in West Bengal.

A spokesperson for the airline said that after receiving the complaint, the crew adjusted the male passenger’s seat.

“On January 31, an incident occurred on SpiceJet flight SG 592 from Kolkata to Bagdogra involving a female passenger who accused her co-passenger of inappropriate behavior. The crew immediately intervened to resolve the issue. ” ANI quoted the spokesperson as saying.

The male accused, on the other hand, denied any wrongdoing in the matter but apologized in the presence of CISF staff.

SpiceJet also added that the woman passenger did not lodge a written complaint against the accused and left the Bagdogra airport after apologizing.

“On arrival at Bagdogra Airport, the two passengers were assisted and escorted by SpiceJet security personnel to the CISF officials at the arrival area. The woman passenger demanded action against the co-passenger. In response, the accused co-passenger was approached by CISF personnel in the presence of The female passenger left the airport without filing any written complaint, hampering SpiceJet’s further investigation,” the spokesperson told the agency.

The spokesperson added: “Throughout the incident, our crew actively assisted the female passenger to ensure her comfort and safety.”
