Derek Hough is preparing to embark on the Dance Symphony Tour with his wife Hayley Erbert, reuniting with her husband four months after he had a craniectomy.

The power couple surprised everyone with a joint announcement on Instagram on Friday, April 5, along with a behind-the-scenes practice video. The caption was punctuated by a white heart emoji.

“After the craziness of the past four months, it’s such a blessing (and surprise) to be back on stage dancing with my love,” the 29-year-old internet celebrity began.

She hinted that “being able to dance again lit up my soul in every way.” This So, do you think you can dance? The alum expressed her gratitude to her team of medical professionals.

“Further expediting my recovery. I am extremely grateful to the doctors who supported my decision to dance again, and to my team of experts who came together to ensure my health and safety was the top priority,” she continued.

“I can’t wait for everyone to see this show! It was so meaningful when we opened last year, and now, after everything that’s happened, it’s truly even more special,” concluded Albert on a heartfelt note.

In December 2023, Erbert was shocked when she was diagnosed with a skull hematoma caused by a ruptured blood vessel. She later underwent cranioplasty surgery to replace part of her skull.

After his wife recovered, Hough announced new tour dates and resumed on April 14 in Melbourne, Florida.
