A woman who filed a rape case against a man for raping her on the pretext of marriage met Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Tuesday and complained that she was threatened to withdraw the FIR district.

The victim told reporters outside the assembly building that two men intercepted her bike in south Goa on Tuesday after a court rejected the pre-arrest bail plea of the accused in a rape case registered by the police.

She claims she was threatened to drop the case. A social worker accompanying her said the chief minister had assured the woman that the accused would be arrested on Wednesday night.
