Four men have been jailed for fatally shooting four women and two girls in a car as they left a funeral.

Tyrell Lacroix, 23, Jashy Perch, 20, Jordan Walters, 24, and Alrico Nelson Martin, 20 (Alrico Nelson-Martin) was involved in a gang attack outside a church that left a girl and a woman with life-changing injuries.

The victims, aged between 11 and 54, were hit by pellets fired from a sawed-off shotgun into a crowd outside the funeral at St Aloysius Church. EustonNorth London last January.

One girl had a metal particle embedded in the muscle near her heart, which will affect her health for the rest of her life, while a woman suffered serious injuries that affected her hearing and balance.

According to Scotland Yard, planning for the attack began in November 2022, when Lacroix spotted the black Toyota used to drive around the church before the shooting.

Lacroix, from St John’s Wood, was a member of a north London gang and believed members of rival gangs would attend the memorial service.

Nelson Martin provided a short-barreled shotgun to those who were in the car at the time of the January 14, 2023, shooting.

Police said they pieced together 2,000 hours of CCTV to track their escape from the scene across five miles of north London, during which they drove in the wrong direction and ran red lights.

Detectives said the video showed Walters, Lacroix and Page in the car before one of them fired into the crowd.

Jashy Perch was found guilty of conspiracy to wound with intent to cause grievous harm at Kingston Crown Court on February 15, 2024, following his conviction for a drive-by shooting in which four women and two girls, ages 11 and 7, were shot with a sawed-off shotgun. At sentencing Friday:

• Lacroix was sentenced to 26 years in prison for conspiracy to injure with intent to cause grievous harm;
• Walters was sentenced to 13 years in prison for the same crime;
• Perch was sentenced to 20 years in prison for conspiracy to wound with intent to cause grievous harm, possession of an offensive weapon and possession of cannabis;
• Nelson-Martin was jailed for 14 years for conspiracy to wound and possessing a shotgun with intent to endanger life.

Alrico Nelson-Martin was found guilty at Kingston Crown Court of conspiracy to wound with intent to cause grievous harm on February 15, 2024, in connection with a drive-by shooting in which four persons were killed. The victims were attending a memorial service for Sara Sanchez, 20, and her mother, Fresia Calderon, 50, who died in November 2022.

Ms Sanchez had suffered from leukemia for three years and her mother died suddenly from a rare blood clot on arrival at Heathrow Airport from Colombia.

As shots rang out, mourners turned to watch doves being released from the church steps.

‘Unimaginable fear and horror’

Queen McCauley said she was visiting a friend in the area when she heard a gunshot and saw people running.

“Everyone was running… it was very chaotic,” she told Sky News.

“We heard people screaming and saying ‘oh my god’… I was thinking oh my god what’s going on, let’s get somewhere safe.”

Detective Inspector Darren Jones described the four men as “dangerous” who had brought “unimaginable fear and terror” to the streets of London.

He said he hoped the sentence would bring “a little comfort and closure” to the victims.

“I am pleased that our investigation resulted in their removal from the community for a significant period of time,” he added.

“The innocent women and girls who were injured will have to deal with the impact of the shooting for the rest of their lives, and Lacroix, Perch, Walter and Nelson-Martin will have time to consider this while serving their sentences.”
