First India-Saudi Arabia joint military exercises held in Rajasthan

The first Indo-Saudi Arabia joint military exercise ‘SADA TANSEEQ’ began in Rajasthan on Monday with the aim of developing interoperability, goodwill and camaraderie between the armies of both sides, officials said.

The exercise is expected to last until February 10.

“The Saudi Arabian contingent of 45 personnel is represented by the Royal Saudi Army. The Indian Army contingent also consists of 45 personnel and is represented by a battalion of the Guard Brigade (Mechanized Infantry).” The Indian Ministry of Defense said in a statement expressed in.

The purpose of the exercise is to train troops from both sides to conduct joint operations in semi-desert areas in accordance with Chapter 7 of the United Nations Charter.

This will enable both parties to “share best practices in tactics, techniques and procedures for conducting operations in unconventional domains.” The exercise will “promote the development of interoperability, goodwill and camaraderie between the forces of both sides,” the statement said.

The exercise includes the establishment of mobile vehicle checkpoints, cordon and search operations, home invasion intervention drills, reflex shooting, taxiing and sniper shooting. Officials said the exercise will provide an opportunity for both contingents to strengthen ties. “It will serve as a platform to achieve common security goals, enhance the level of defense cooperation and promote bilateral relations between the two friendly countries,” the statement said.
