New Delhi:
A fire broke out on the second floor of the Home Office in North Ward on Tuesday, a fire department official said. “A total of seven fire engines rushed to the spot and the flames were doused by 9.35 am,” a senior DFS official said.
According to the Delhi Fire Service (DFS), a call was received around 9:20 am about a fire on the second floor of the IC wing of the home office and the fire was brought under control by 9:35 am.
A Xerox machine, some computers and some documents caught fire, the official said.
“No injuries were reported,” the official added.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah was not present in the building when the fire broke out, but several senior officials were present when the fire broke out, they said.
