Meghan Markle ‘considering’ UK return with Prince Harry

Meghan Markle is expected to skip Prince Harry’s upcoming Invictus Games event due to long-running security issues.

According to royal commentator Richard FitzWilliams, the Duke of Sussex is set to return to the UK for the 10th anniversary of Invictus, which he started in 2014, but his wife is likely to stay back.

fitzwilliams told The Sun Online Meghan may still be thinking about her return to the UK, meanwhile, Harry is still undecided and will bring neither Meghan nor his two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.

“I never thought Meghan would come here because of the hostility towards her, but have to emphasize that’s clear from the opinion polls,” he told the outlet.

“And of course, you would get a press that was far from flattering, but it dealt with the behavior of the Sussexes over the last four years.”

Fitzwilliams also suggested that while it is “not certain” it is unlikely that Meghan will leave the event, as hostility towards her “would dilute the message of the service.”

While Meghan’s name was listed on the guest list for the event at St. Paul’s Cathedral on May 8, it remains to be seen if she plans to attend.
