Father ‘shocked by son’s involvement in shooting near Salman Khan’s home’

Vicky Gupta and Sagar Pal arrested in connection with shooting outside Salman Khan’s residence

Betiya, Bihar:

Sagar Pal’s father Joginder Shah, who was arrested for allegedly shooting outside actor Salman Khan’s residence, said he “learned about his son’s involvement” “I was shocked by this incident.”

Mumbai police arrested 21-year-old Sagar Pal and 24-year-old Vicky Gupta from Kutch in Gujarat a day after they opened fire outside Salman Khan’s Bandra residence on Sunday. Both suspects are residents of Maharishi village in West Champaran district of Bihar.

“I was really shocked when I found out through social media that he was involved… We have no idea how this happened. He had never been involved in any crime before,” the father said.

“He was a simple man… He was working in Jalandhar (Punjab) and I don’t know how he reached Mumbai,” the father, a daily bettor, told reporters.

According to Mumbai police, Pal and Gupta fired five shots outside Salman Khan’s residence and fled. They were nabbed from a village in Kutch district of Gujarat on Monday night.

West Champaran police commissioner D Amarkesh said the family members of the accused are yet to be arrested.
