Gurgaon:

Family members of a retired soldier who was shot dead in Gurgaon’s Kansa village on Thursday beat his assailants to death, police said.

Police said they had seized two bodies and began an investigation

According to police, the incident took place around 2.40 pm when 55-year-old Sunil Fauji left his plot in Khandsa village and 34-year-old Dinesh alias Tinu started asking He fired.

Fudge attempted to flee the scene, but was unable to do so due to a gunshot wound. He was taken to hospital where he died during treatment.

Police said Sohit, a relative who was with him, attacked Dinesh with an iron rod and killed him on the spot.

ACP, crime branch Varun Dahiya said that around 3-4 bullets were fired at Fauji and it seemed that old grudge could be the reason behind the incident. The pair allegedly got into an argument late Wednesday night over an issue.

“The retired soldier died of gunshot wounds and Dinesh died of injuries sustained with an iron rod. A detailed investigation into the matter is on,” he said.
