Energizer hard case P28K phone with 28,000mAh battery unveiled at MWC 2024

Avenir Telecom, which licenses the Energizer brand, showed off its hard-shell P28K smartphone with a whopping 28,000mAh battery at the 2024 Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona on Monday (February 26). The European company claims that the battery unit can provide up to a week of battery life on a single charge during normal use. This 28,000mA battery will be the largest battery installed in a smartphone. The Energizer Hard Case P28K features a rugged design and an IP68 dust- and water-resistant construction. It features a 6.78-inch display and has a triple rear camera setup.

The Energizer brand licensee showcased the Energizer Hard Case P28K smartphone with a large 28,000mAh battery during MWC 2024. The rugged smartphone has a much larger battery than any other smartphone on the market and is said to last a week with regular use on a single charge. The phone has an IP68 rating and a 6.78-inch Full HD+ screen.

Paris-based Avenir Telecom has equipped the Energizer Hard Case P28K with a triple rear camera unit. The camera setup includes a 60-megapixel primary camera, a 20-megapixel secondary sensor, and a 2-megapixel sensor. For selfies and video chats, it has a 16-megapixel front-facing camera. The camera unit is capable of recording 4K quality videos. Additionally, it has 4G LTE connectivity and the company offers a three-year warranty on the device.

according to a Report According to The Verge, the Energizer Hard Case P28K smartphone will be available in October with a starting price of €250 (approximately Rs. 22,000). It is reported to provide up to 122 hours of talk time and up to 2252 hours (or 94 days) of standby time on a single charge. The large battery unit reportedly adds 27.8 mm to the smartphone’s thickness and 570 grams, making it much thicker than most other devices today.

Avenir previously launched the Energizer P18K Pop with an 18,000mAh battery at MWC 2019 and the Energizer Power Max P16K Pro with a 16,000mAh battery in 2018. However, neither phone was released to consumers.
