Oliver Dowden insists he has “complete confidence” in the Conservatives after watching the dismal poll results during a live interview on Sunday, April 7.

Trevor Phillips asked the Deputy Prime Minister on Sky News if “all is over” for the Conservatives because the country “is no longer listening” to the party.

In response, Dowden insisted he was “completely confident” the numbers before him would shrink when the Conservatives get into the “real campaign”.

He said: “These polls still speak to some extent of the frustrations that people feel, especially after 14 years in power.
