Don’t let Lord Ram become political tool to win elections: BJP Adil

Lok Sabha Congress leader Ranjan Chaudhary on Monday said the BJP should not consider Lord Ram as a political tool to win elections. He also questioned the government’s policies toward China and the Maldives. “You are under the patronage of Lord Ram as the general election approaches,” Chaudhry said during a debate on the motion of thanks for the President’s address in the Lok Sabha.

“We all believe in Lord Ram, don’t let him become your monopoly… don’t let him become an electoral tool. Let Ram continue to be the God of all,” he added. Talking about the 2014 general election, Chaudhry said that the BJP had promised that 1.5 million rupees would be deposited in the account of every Indian because the Indian government would bring back “black money” from abroad.

The MP added that after the election, one of the party’s leaders said the promise was an electoral stunt. He said that when the 2019 elections came, there was a terror attack in Pulwama in which 40 Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel were killed.

Chowdhury said that in retaliation for the Pulwama attack, India launched Balakot air strikes that destroyed a terrorist camp. The Congress leader, however, added that the government is yet to reveal the truth related to the Balakot airstrike.

He said multiple independent organizations claimed that India did not hit any important target in Balakot. Chaudhry pointed out that the president’s speech did not mention any security issues on the China-India border, and said that the situation in Ladakh is deteriorating every day, and nearly 2,000 square kilometers of land is now under Chinese control.

He added that the government’s China policy has repeatedly failed. “What is happening in the Maldives today…the country’s elections were conducted on the basis of ‘India Exit’ slogan,” the Congress leader claimed.

Defense Minister Rajnath Singh waded into the debate and refuted Chaudhry’s allegations on border issues. “India is no longer a weak country and if someone attacks us, we have the ability to retaliate appropriately,” the Union minister said.

He also urged Chaudhry not to malign India in the House. In this regard, Chaudhry said, “Congress has always supported the government on security issues, but as the opposition, we have the responsibility to highlight the shortcomings in security.” When talking about the concerns of minority communities, Chaudhry said that now there are people There were complaints against Kashgar and Mathura.

“The government should make laws to protect places of worship,” he demanded.
