DC Baramulla holds a meeting to discuss revenue matters

BARAMULLA, May 26, KDC: In a step to streamline revenue administration and improve public service distribution, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Baramullah, Minga Sherpa presided over a meeting of revenue officials at DC Office Complex here today.

A detailed powerpoint presentation was presented during the meeting, which provides an observation and position of the ongoing initiative. The meeting focused on major revenue matters, including the legacy of disposal of court cases, legacy of mutation, land acquisition and pendency of vigilance within the stipulated time.

During the meeting, DC directed all the Tehsildars to organize weekly revenue camps at the tehsil level to ensure spot redress of public grievances, especially related to mutation and revenue records.

DC insisted the authorities to meet the digitization of land records and called for the identity of government land to facilitate future developmental projects.

In addition, DC directed the officials to closely monitor the implementation of the Nasha Mutt Bharat Abhiyan, and instructed them to solve the landless beneficiary matters pending under the PMA scheme if any pendency.

The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner, Syed Altaf Hussain Musvi; Assistant Commissioner Revenue, All Tehsildars, Naib Tehsildars and other related revenue officers. (KDC)
