Two drug peddlers arrested with a contrast in Avantpora: Police

Continuing its efforts to eradicate the danger of drugs from the society, the police on Tuesday arrested two drug pedals and recovered contradictions from their possession in Avantpora in South Kashmir.

A spokesperson said, “During the vehicle check at the Panzgam railway crossing, a police party of the police post stopped a vehicle (Tata Sumo) registration number JK13A-7136 with two persons on the board. They have been recognized as Parviz Ahmed Hazam Son for AB Rashmad of Newa Pulwamad.

He said, “During the discovery, the authorities were able to fix 130 grams of substances like charas from their possession. They have been arrested and the vehicle used in the commission of the crime has also been confiscated”, she said.

Accordingly, a case video FIR number 106/2025 has been registered at Police Station Avantpora under the relevant sections of the law and investigation has been initiated.
