More details have emerged about a possible rematch between Floyd Mayweather And Manny Pacquiao,
A decade after their contest in 2015, which was won by unanimous decision by Mayweather, the two boxing legends are in talks to meet again next year. Mayweather, who has not boxed professionally since 2017, finished his boxing career with a record of 50 wins in 50 bouts, 27 of which were by stoppage.
Pacquiao came four years out of retirement to share a creditable draw with current WBC welterweight champion Mario Barrios in July, with many feeling ‘Pacman’ had done enough to capture another world title at the age of 46.

According to boxing journalist Dan Raphael, there are plans to make the bout a professional contest, with a date set for April. Pacquiao, 62-8-3 (39 KOs), and Mayweather will return to Las Vegas nearly 11 years apart for their May 2015 contest at the MGM Grand Casino.
Streaming giant Netflix is believed to be pushing for a rematch, with Pacquiao himself confirming talks are being held with old foe Mayweather.
It is unclear how a rematch between Mayweather and Pacquiao would affect either fighter’s currently planned bouts. Last month it was announced that Mayweather would face fellow retiree Mike Tyson in an exhibition contest, which was again considered to be held in early 2026.
According to Tyson, Mayweather himself scheduled an exhibition with the heavyweight, indicating that the five-division world champion is actively exploring a fight in 2026.
Pacquiao was previously in talks to face WBA welterweight champion Rollie Romero in January 2026, but with talks reaching no conclusion, other opponents such as Brit Conor Benn were considered.
Although Mayweather has not fought competitively since Defeated former UFC champion Conor McGregor In 2017, he competed in various exhibition bouts, most recently defeating John Gotti III for the second time in August 2024.
