Jammu, May 9: Chief Minister Omar Abdullah raced near Jammu today to run near Jammu, which was reviewed after tension, drone attacks in Jammu and in the border districts of Jammu after rapid shelling in the border districts of Jammu. With the closure of airports, the Chief Minister proceeded from Jammu on the road in the morning.
The Chief Minister visited several camps and housing centers in Jammu and Samba districts, including people established in Mishriwala, Nagbani, Bishnah and Thandi Khuri, which were to assess the relief system extracted to these shelters.
The CM was accompanied by Chief Minister Nasir Aslam Wani’s advisor and Advisor to Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs and other concerned officials. During the visit, the Chief Minister interacted with the displaced families and reviewed the provision of food, shelter, medical aid and other essential things.
He said, “All efforts will be made to ensure that people are provided all the requirements during this difficult time,” he said, instructing the administration to remain alert and responsible for the emerging needs.
In view of citizens displacement caused by enmity, the government has set up relief camps at several places in the border districts.
The Chief Minister discussed with senior district officials to assess the overall situation and ongoing relief measures, reiterating the government’s firm commitment for safety and welfare of all the affected citizens.
The Chief Minister expressed deep grief over the loss of civil life due to frequent shelling in the border areas, especially in Poonch district, the highest number of casualties and injuries was seen.
He said that the injured are getting treatment at Government Medical College Jammu, while those seriously injured have been sent to Chandigarh for advanced medical care.
Chief Minister Omar Abdullah appreciated the forces for his fast and effective action in re-starting the border attacks from Pakistan at several places in both Jammu and Kashmir Division.
He said that India has the right to protect its people and the region with full force.
The Chief Minister said, “Our security system responded with commendable speed and accuracy, ensuring protecting all the targeted areas,” the Chief Minister said. “If our innocent people are damaged, the nation somehow reserves every right to defend itself. This is Pakistan that should stop aggression for peace. If they continue to take aggressive, they are certain to suffer. Our army is fully able to give a proportional reaction.”
