Chirag Paswan claims he will contest uncle Pashupati Kumar Paras from Hajipur

Lok Janshakti Party leader Chirag Paswan today claimed that he will contest from Hajipur’s uncle Pashupati Kumar Paras in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

“What is certain is that I will be the Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) candidate, NDA candidate from Hajipur – this is’karmabhumi‘My father’s. I also accept this challenge,” Mr. Paswan said while talking to the media on Wednesday.

Contesting against his uncle from Hajipur constituency, Mr Paswan said: “This is not just a political choice for me; it has implications for my family as well. Earlier, the decision to separate from the family was taken by him (Pashupati Paras) alone and it remains his decision now.”

In the run-up to the Lok Sabha elections, the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh has convened a parliamentary session under the leadership of Janata Party chief Chirag Paswan.

Rashtriya Janata Dal (RLJP) chief Pashupati Kumar Paras resigned as a Union minister on Tuesday, a day after the party was deprived of any seat in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in Bihar.
