Warfare is undergoing fundamental changes with the emergence of new technologies and entirely new doctrines, Air Chief Marshal V R Chaudhari said on Saturday.

He said these officers joined the noble profession at a time when the country was on the threshold of technological transformation. “Our armed forces are investing heavily in acquiring next-generation war machines. As a future operator of these powerful systems, you need to be fully familiar with them and this can only be achieved through rigorous training, dedication and a professional approach,” the Air Marshal said.
As future military officers, they must understand a complex and dynamic world through the study of military history, geopolitics, and international affairs.
He quoted Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw as saying that the nation expects officers to display exceptional professionalism and unquestionable integrity. “We expect you to maintain the highest standards of personal conduct and moral values that reflect the dignity and pride of the military profession,” Chaudhry said.
He also urged everyone to be fair, consistent and selfless at work, and to be compassionate and understanding when dealing with subordinates.
As many as 184 officer cadets and 36 female cadets were assigned to various arms and services of the Indian Army after successfully completing rigorous training at OTA.
In addition, three officer cadets and six female cadets from friendly countries successfully completed the training, promoting cross-border friendship and cooperation.
