ChatGPT is now available without registration

OpenAI has made its artificial intelligence (AI)-powered chatbot ChatGPT available to everyone, even those without an OpenAI account. The artificial intelligence company announced the news on Monday, adding that the transition was being rolled out gradually. Even when not logged in, users can choose whether to have the company record their conversations to train the AI. The chatbot maker says this model will also come with stricter content moderation. Notably, a recent report claimed that OpenAI may release the next-generation version of its artificial intelligence model, GPT-5, later in 2024.

However, there is a downside to not registering. Users without accounts will face stricter content moderation. “We’ve also introduced additional content protections to this experience, such as blocking prompts and spawns across a wider range of categories,” the post states.

It should be noted that users who do not create an OpenAI account will miss out on several key features of ChatGPT, such as the ability to save and view chat history, share chats, voice conversations, and custom commands.
