The fact that Taylor Swift mentioned Charlie Puth on her recent album makes Swift uncomfortable.

The 34-year-old Grammy winner shamelessly teased her beau about his love of vintage typewriters and his tendency to compare himself to great poets on the album’s title track, Ministry of Tormented Poets.

Swift starts off by adding an unexpected name, singing: “You smoked and ate seven bars of chocolate/We declared that Charlie Puth should be a bigger artist.”

Following the release of Swift’s album, the song’s lyrics sparked a variety of reactions on the internet, ranging from admiration to confusion.

Puth has made no secret of his affection for Swift over the years, often performing live covers of her songs.

“That’s why she’s such a genius, man,” he said while performing one of her early hits tears on my guitar 2021. “These are chord changes. It’s awesome. I think it’s awesome.”

That same year, Swift joined the TikTok platform after Pus welcomed his “fellow Sagittarius,” and the two singers also had a sweet exchange on TikTok.
