Online booking for this year’s Char Dham Yatra has started today, April 15. People have to register online to perform the pilgrimage smoothly.

Online registration for Char Dham Yatra – Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath and Badrinath started in Uttarakhand on Monday Start with the Bureau’s official website. Pilgrims can also self-register using the toll-free hotline and WhatsApp.

It is worth noting that leading to KedarnathYamunotri and Gangotri will open on May 10.

Why register?

The main goal of the registration process is to monitor and control the entire pilgrimage process. It assists authorities in ensuring the safety and welfare of pilgrims, especially in difficult terrain and weather conditions. Data collected during registration can be used to handle pilgrimage logistics and contact people in emergencies.

How to register?

You can log in to the Tourism Bureau website to register, registrationandtouristcare.uk.government website.

Another way to register is by sending SMS Yatra to 8394833833 via WhatsApp.

For tourists who cannot register online, the Tourism Bureau can call the toll-free number 0135-1364 to provide registration services.

Additionally, you can register via the TourismCarer Tarakhand smartphone app.

Registration requirements:

The registration process may require submission of personal information, travel arrangements and medical information.

Is there an option to register offline?

Yes. The Uttarakhand tourism department has registration counters at Rishikesh and Haridwar where pilgrims can visit for offline registration. The center has ten booths for registration. Pilgrims can go to any stall with necessary documents such as voter ID card, passport, panka or adhaka.

How to register online?

Step 1: Enter the official website: www.uk.gov.in/Registration and travel services.

Step 2: Select the “Register/Login” option.

Step 3: A pop-up window will appear. Enter the information requested in the form.

Step 4: Char dham online registration system will verify the user through OTP verification process using email address and mobile number.

Step 5: Once verified, log in using your password and phone number.

Step 6: Once logged in, your specific dashboard will be displayed. Select Add/Manage Pilgrims or Visitors from the menu.

Step 7: Enter all the necessary information about the trip such as number of tourists, dates of pilgrimage, trip type and trip name.

Step 8: Upload scanned copies of Driving License, Voter Card and Aadhar Card, or any other legitimate photo ID evidence. Upon successful completion of the registration process, you will receive a confirmation text message containing a Unique Registration Number (URN).

Step 9: Download the Char dham Yatra registration letter; you will need it during the pilgrimage.
