Celebrity psychic Deborah Davies buys ‘creepy’ doll from Edinburgh charity shop

A “creepy” doll that terrified shoppers after being put on display at an Edinburgh charity shop has been snapped up by a celebrity psychic.

“Unexplained: Caught on Camera” star Deborah Davies added “Annabelle” to her collection of approximately 60 “haunted dolls.”

Ms Davies paid a total of £220 for the toy, which was sent to her from St Columba’s Hospice charity shop in Morningside. Cheshire.

The former Cheshire Housewives star told Sky News: “I monitor it 24/7 and now I have it in my house which is against my own rules.

“I kept the rest of the collection miles away because many of them were given to me by followers after serious prankster activity.”

After the Ashton-Drake Galleries doll was displayed in a store window, a photo of Annabelle went viral, along with a note that read “I am not… It’s creepy.”

“Some people say they feel like the doll’s eyes are following them”

St Columba’s Hospice charity shop manager Simone Varga said a former volunteer donated the doll when she left hospital. Edinburgh.

Ms Varga said she was startled by how lifelike the doll looked when she opened the box.

She told Sky News: “When I took it out and saw the legs and all these things, I thought ‘these do look like human legs to me’.

“It had little shoes on, it was very creepy, and it had white bits on its nails. From the way it felt, it was a plastic, but an interesting plastic – a rubbery plastic.

“It went viral after someone said they felt the doll’s eyes following them as they walked past a shop window and then that’s it.”

Ms Varga said she was delighted Annabelle was able to go to Ms Davis and thanked the TV personality for her generous donation.

She said: “She would go to a good family because Deborah obviously collects dolls.

“The donation she gave us was a truly fantastic donation. It will go towards the good work of the hospice.”

“There’s probably a soul attached to it.”

Ms Davis said one of her social media followers alerted her to Annabelle, a doll she believed might have a “soul”.

Ms Davies said: “Edinburgh is one of the most haunted places in the UK and has a rich history, and with this doll causing people to stay awake at night etc, I felt it was likely that it had a spirit.

“Particularly in Morningside, it’s well-documented that it’s haunted.

“I personally feel that the soul in this doll has lost a child who looked exactly like this doll. I feel that this is an ancient earth spirit from that area.”
