Kings XI Punjab captain Shikhar Dhawan will miss the photo session of IPL 2024 due to ailment.

In view of the Lok Sabha polls, the schedule has been announced till April 7 and further dates will be announced separately.

Fans will be doubly delighted as they will witness four doubleheaders scheduled during this time.

The 17th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) will kick off on March 22 with MS Dhoni-led defending champions taking on Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) at home in the South India Derby-MA Chidambaram Stadium.

IPL 2022 champions and last year’s runners-up Gujarat Titans (GT) and five-time champions Mumbai Indians (MI) locked horns in an exciting encounter in Ahmedabad on Sunday.

On the same day, Rajasthan Royals and Lucknow Supergiants will start their campaign in Jaipur.

Delhi Capitals will play CSK and Kolkata Knight Riders at home in Vizag on March 31 and April 3 respectively. In a first-ever double-header, Kings XI Punjab and Delhi Capitals will begin their clash in Mohali on March 23, while two-time champions Kolkata Knight Riders will begin their clash in Kolkata.
