Buckingham Palace appoints King Charles to new role, William’s plans spark uproar

Buckingham Palace has shared a new post about the historic events at the royal residence amid backlash over King Charles and Prince William’s plans to build an “ideal town” in Britain.

As the king’s proposal to build 2,500 new homes to tackle Britain’s housing crisis faces fierce opposition, members of the royal family shared new photos of the historic event at Buckingham Palace on Monday in their first post.

The heartwarming photos were captioned: “Royal French and British troops take part in the Changing of the Guard ceremony outside Buckingham Palace and the Elysee Palace to mark the 120th anniversary of the Entente Amity.

“The Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh watched the ceremony in London, while President Macron observed the troops in Paris.”

France has become the first non-Commonwealth country to attend the Changing of the Guard ceremony at Buckingham Palace.

King Charles’ plans to build thousands of homes on 320 acres of farmland in Faversham, Kent, have faced fierce opposition. Angry residents say the plans go against the king’s stance on environmental and agricultural issues.
