BTS’s Kim Seok-jin, who is also the eldest member of the boy band, recently released a video to start the countdown to his retirement from military service in South Korea.

The official account of BTS Bighit shared a video message of Jin, the first member to enlist.

In the video, the pop star holds two lit number seven candles and smiles as she blows out the candles while giving a thumbs up.

The video was posted with a fan’s caption that read: “D-77!! Time flies. Let’s go, let’s go! #March’s Jin #ARMY_lover #MissYouSeokjinnie #Army, wait 77 days #JIN.”

According to the headline, Jin is expected to return in 77 days.

Ever since BTS’s official account deleted the video, fans have been speculating about Jin’s retirement.

One fan wrote: “He’s waiting and counting down just like the rest of us. I miss him even more.”

Another user chimed in: “Yeah…we dare not measure the depth of his love.”

A third fan gushed, adding: “He waits just so he can complete the double 7 days before he gets back to us. Jin always has a plan.”

For those unfamiliar, Jin began enlisting in the military back in December 2022 and is expected to complete his military service on June 12, 2024.
