“When I turned 22 and a half weeks, I was lying in bed, quite literally, experiencing the worst pain of my life. I wasn’t sure what was going on, so I went to the toilet downstairs and my water came out. Bleeding. “Broken,” she added.

Doctors said her first-born child died from placental blood clots.

“He looked like a normal baby. After I gave birth, the doctors sat me down and told me they didn’t expect ‘twin’ to survive – he would probably be born in the next few hours, Ms Doyle said while recalling the incident.

But Ms Doyle’s contractions stopped and she was sent home, Metro reported. The news came as a shock to her after the trauma of giving birth to her first child.

Two weeks after returning home with Astro, Kayleigh held Arlo’s funeral and the ordeal led to her training as a NICU volunteer. She now wants to help other parents in similar situations.
