Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 director Anees Bazmee suffers fractured leg, undergoes surgery; DEET inside

Bhool Bhulaiyaa director Anees Bazmee recently suffered a broken leg while on a 15-day scouting trip in various locations across the country. The filmmaker received first aid from a nearby doctor but was later rushed to Mumbai for surgery, Pinkvilla reported. According to reports, after Bazmi had a steel plate inserted into his leg, doctors advised him to stay in bed for six months.

“His right leg was fractured in three cracks and he was advised to stay on bed for six months and wear a cast while it healed naturally. The producer decided to undergo basic treatment at the local hospital on site and then return to Mumbai. He consulted top doctors, The doctors gave him the option of implanting a plate and then resting for 3 months or surgery. Anees immediately decided to undergo surgery,” the entertainment portal quoted a source as saying. It was also revealed that the filmmakers will start shooting for Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 from March 10.

Starring Kartik Aaryan, Kiara Advani and Tabu in the lead roles, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 is a perfect Bollywood horror comedy. The film was released in 2022 and has grossed over Rs 180 crore at the box office in India. Rajpal Yadav also stars in the film.

Meanwhile, OG Manjulika aka Vidya Balan will be back in the third film of the Bhool Bhulaiyaa franchise. Earlier this week, Kartik Aaryan shared a montage of the ‘Ami Je Tomar’ dance scene he performed in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, along with OG Vdiya Balan’s performance in Bhool Bhulaiyaa. Posting the video on his Instagram account, Kartik wrote, “Og Manjulika is coming back to the world of BhoolBhulaiyaa, super excited to welcome @balanvidya ❤️‍This Diwali is going to be a blast #BhoolBhulaiyaa3 @aneesbazmee @tseries.official # BhushanKumar.”

There were recent reports that Madhuri Dixit will also star in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 along with Vidya Balan and Kartik Aaryan. However, there is no official confirmation of this yet.
