Tata Motors Tata Curvv launched its latest product Tata Curvv on the opening day of Bharat Mobile Global Expo 2024.

The SUV has been previously shown in various stages of development and is expected to hit the market in the coming months.

As Tata’s first model to launch this year, the Curvv SUV has a sleek design and a unique coupe-like roofline, setting it apart from boxy rivals such as the Creta, Seltos, Grand Vitara and Hyryder, Autocar reports differentiate. Recent patent images hint at its final design, which remains largely unchanged from last year’s auto show debut with just a few minor tweaks.

Notable updates include an extended LED light bar reminiscent of the Nexon facelift, a redesigned grille with a mix of piano black and body-color finishes, and revised front and rear bumpers similar to those on the Harrier and Safari facelift . Curvv also introduces innovative features like flush door handles, a first for a Tata model.

Starting with the initial launch of the Curvv EV, the Curvv will be available in various powertrain options, giving it an edge over upcoming rivals like the Creta EV. Following the EV version, Tata plans to launch diesel and petrol versions, with the diesel version likely to hit the market first, powered by the Nexon’s 1.5-liter diesel engine.

Curvv EV is expected to start production at Tata Motors’ Ranjangaon plant in April with an ambitious sales target of 48,000 units per year, including 12,000 Curvv EVs. With an eye-catching design and versatile powertrain options, the Tata Curvv is expected to make waves in the highly competitive SUV market.
