We all have it through Esha Deol in Dhoom, Kaal, No Entry, Dus and most recently Ajay Devgn’s OTT series Rudra: Edge of Darkness Countless characters come to meet Esha Deol. The actress who is on the rise in her career has always been open about her career choices from time to time. Hence, the actress once admitted that she deeply regretted rejecting Omkara and Golmaal.

In a previous interview to entertainment portal Bollywood Bubble, Esha Deol said, “I regret giving up on Golmaal. If I named all the films I have passed on, people would want to throw slippers at me. But honestly, The people who went on to do these movies and those characters did such a great job. I even turned down Omkara. I was asked about the role that Bipasha Basu ended up playing, but she absolutely…she justified the role. I’m so glad she did it, she’s awesome.”

Bollywood actress Esha Deol is in the news for her separation from husband Bharat Takhtani. Unconfirmed reports had been circulating for quite some time until the estranged couple publicly acknowledged their split on February 7 after 12 years of marriage. Esha Deol has been missing from showbiz for a while now, which is not a shock as out of the 25 films she did in 23 years, only 3 were successful. It is said that her father Dharmendra initially did not want his daughter to join the film industry but her mother Hema Malini convinced him to allow her.

Esha Deol made her debut in 2002 with the film Koi Mere Dil Se Pooche, which barely attracted attention. Unfortunately, this lack of success continued, with six of her films flopping between 2002 and 2004. The list includes films like “Na Tum Jaano Na Hum”, “Kya Dil Ne Kaha”, “Kuch To Hai”, “Chura Liya Hai Tumne”, “LOC Kargil” and “Yuva”.

Her luck changed instantly in 2004, when she made a major career decision after consulting her mother, Hema Malini. Until then, Esha had been playing girl-next-door type roles and in 2004, she decided to break away from traditional roles and try out a bold role in Dhoom, which required her to wear a bikini. She sought permission from Hema Malini and her mother agreed. Esha appeared in many scenes of Dhoom wearing a bikini. In addition to the movie being a hit, Elsa also received critical acclaim.

After the movie “Dhoom”, she released another hit movie “No Entry” in 2005. However, being a multi-starrer, most of the accolades and accolades of this hit film went to other actors. The same happened in the movie Dus, where she was paired opposite Abhishek Bachchan. The movie was a success, but she got lost in the crowd of big-name stars in the movie.

Since then, Esha has shot over a dozen failed films, including Main Aisa Hi Hoon, Kaal, Tell Me O Khuda, Hijack, Money Hai To Honey Hai, Sunday, Darling, Cash, Just Married, Mera Dil Leke Dekho, Ankaheen, Pyare “Mohan and Shaadi No. 1”, “Dhoom”, “No Entry” and “Dus” remain her only successful films. Shortly after her marriage, she retired from the entertainment industry.
