India’s quest for the first ICC title in 11 years will begin on June 1 as the T20 World Cup 2024 begins in the United States and West Indies. For the showpiece event, the BCCI unveiled India’s jersey on Monday. The jersey worn by the Rohit Sharma-led team in the 2023 ODI World Cup has seen a lot of changes. This time blue and orange colors are quite prominent. However, this new jersey has also started a meme-fest on the internet and some fans have been reminded of the famous comedy show ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’.

As soon as the jerseys were launched, fans shared some clips from the show on X (formerly Twitter), where the characters were seen wearing almost identical outfits.

This sparked a hilarious meme fest on social media as fans shared lots of jokes and videos about the jersey.

According to the official site of Adidas, the price of the jersey is Rs 5999 for regular size. The interesting thing is that one can travel from Delhi to Goa this month at low cost. Many leading travel booking sites showed that Delhi-Goa tickets will cost less than Rs 5500 in the next one month.

Sportswear brand Adidas took to social media to reveal a glimpse of the official jersey and in the video, Indian cricket team captain Rohit Sharma was seen with his teammates Kuldeep Yadav and Ravindra Jadeja.

Rohit Sharma and his teammates will wear the jersey as they aim to end India’s drought in ICC events.

India last won the ICC Trophy in 2013 when MS Dhoni was the captain. Since then, India came close to winning the ODI World Cup, T20 World Cup, Champions Trophy and World Test Championship but failed.
