He said that while navigating dangerous snowy peaks, glacial peaks and thin air at extreme altitudes, the team will demonstrate the grit, discipline and indomitable spirit that defines the Indian Army.
This mission symbolizes the Corps’ commitment to courage, endurance and excellence in one of the most rugged terrains of the country.
This extraordinary effort – “Joy in the Hearts, Summiting Mount Kangtou!” This is a testament to the courage and resilience of the soldiers of the Gajraj Corps, symbolizing the indomitable spirit of the Indian Army in the face of adversity.
In another development a team of Dao Warriors criminals prepared a series of nationwide presentations on the Battle of Walong in schools and colleges in Dimapur, Dibrugarh, Namsai, Delhi, Pune and Mumbai during October–November.
According to the Defense spokesperson, the objective of this initiative is to educate and inspire the youth about the unparalleled courage and supreme sacrifice made by the gallant soldiers of the Indian Army and Assam Rifles during the 1962 operation.
The presentations witnessed huge participation from students who displayed deep patriotic enthusiasm and curiosity about the heroic defense of Walong, the only counter-attack by Indian forces during the 1962 conflict.
In Delhi and Mumbai, the presence of senior veterans sharing first-hand experiences added immense value and emotional depth to the events.
This outreach initiative not only strengthened the civil-military relationship but also served as a true tribute to the brave units who fought in the Battle of Walong and the martyrs who laid down their lives in the service of the nation, the spokesperson said.
