Apple’s new office will operate on 100% renewable energy, in keeping with the goal of operating all of its facilities on renewable energy.

Apple has opened a new office in India, in its latest effort to support its growing operations in the Indian market. Located on Minsk Square, the office is designed to accommodate 1,200 employees, has 15 floors, and has space dedicated to laboratories, collaboration, and wellness.

Additionally, Apple’s new office will also operate on 100% renewable energy, in keeping with the goal of operating all of its facilities on renewable energy. The facility has been constructed using locally sourced materials including stone, wood, fabric, and the iPhone maker has also used native plants for decorative decoration.

At its new Bengaluru office, Apple employees will work across multiple areas including software, hardware, services, IS&T, operations, customer support and more. Notably, Apple already has a presence in other Indian cities including Mumbai, Hyderabad and Gurugram.

It’s also notable that Apple currently employs about 3,000 people in India, and its work with suppliers also supports hundreds of thousands of jobs in the country. This latest effort will only help in creating more opportunities for Indian citizens. Additionally, through the establishment of its new Apple Stores, namely Apple BKC in Mumbai and Apple Saket in New Delhi, Apple is also actively recruiting for various roles like Genius, Creative, Specialist and others. This initiative is contributing to the creation of numerous employment opportunities.

“Apple is thrilled to expand into India with our new office in the heart of Bengaluru. This dynamic city is already home to many of our talented teams, including software engineering and hardware technologies, operations, customer support and more. Like everything we do at Apple, this workspace is designed to foster innovation, creativity, and connection. This is a wonderful place for our teams to collaborate,” an Apple spokesperson said on the occasion of the development.
