Star Plus’ Anupamaa is one of the most popular TV shows today and has a huge fan following in India. The show is a fan favorite and is known for its twists and turns and of course the lead role of Anupamaa played by Rupali Ganguly. While the entire show revolves around Anupama’s life and the challenges she faces, other characters from the show are also in the news for their roles and performances. One of the popular characters is Vanraj Shah played by Sudhanshu Pandey. Sudhanshu Pandey’s performance as Vanraj Shah was both good and bad and the audience loved or hated it.

In a recent interview, the actor opened up about his character and shared his thoughts on the show’s creators prioritizing Anuj and Anu over other characters. Pandey spoke about his feelings about the decrease in screen time.

Sudhanshu Pandey pays less attention to Anupamaa

While it’s not uncommon for makers to focus only on the protagonists and often ignore others to develop the storyline, Pandey feels the makers of Anupama have to make the audience see the story from each character’s perspective.

“As an actor, I am very patient and very secure. I know that the makers cannot focus on just one character or track because it is a daily soap opera and focusing on just one character will change after a while. It has to be boring. The story is always about Anupama, but if there is no male lead or other character, then everything fails,” he told Bollywood Life.

Further clarifying whether he felt insecure due to the reduced acting time, the actor said: “I don’t feel insecure anymore. I’ve done a lot of feature films, web shows, and a Hollywood movie. I really wouldn’t be in That space made me feel unsafe.”

It is noteworthy that Sudhanshu Pandey plays a very important role in the Star Plus show. While he has been on the show for more than three years, several actors have also bid farewell to their characters, such as Paras Kalnawat, Anagha Bhosle, Rashad Rushad Rana, Alma Hussain, Aneri Vajani, Muskan Bamne, Sanjay Dhamecha ) and Jaswir Kaur.

Currently, the show has taken a leap and showcases Anuj and Anupam starting a new life in the United States after their separation. Some new faces can also be seen on the show.
