Angela Renner insists ‘I didn’t lose sleep’ as police review Parliament House claims

Angela Rayner insists she is “not losing sleep” after it emerged police were examining allegations she may have breached electoral laws by living between two council houses in Stockport.

Greater Manchester Police confirmed that a Detective Chief Inspector had been appointed to reconsider the case, just days after Rayner accused the Tories of trying to “smear” her.

Speaking on Good Morning Britain on Thursday (March 28), Ms Rayner insisted she had done nothing wrong.

“I don’t lose sleep over it,” she said. “The only thing that gives me sleepless nights is the Conservatives’ 14 years of economic chaos.”
