The affidavit allegedly alleges that the driver, Danny Marad-Avecillas, 49, dropped her off at a Motel 77 more than 20 minutes away instead of her Airbnb , just minutes away. “He made me believe it was my Uber and said, ‘Get in, get in,’ and that was it. It looked exactly like the car I was waiting for,” the woman said.

Avicillas, believed to be a registered Uber driver, used the victim’s credit card to pay for hourly stays and fill up his gas tank on the way to the motel, the affidavit said. Hours later, the victim “woke up naked,” with no memory of how she got there and what happened to her. Police suggested she may have been raped.

According to the victim’s testimony in court, the incident caused her physical injuries. “My body was hurt,” she said. “I don’t know what they did to me, but I had bruises. Now, I’m going through a knee injury that may require surgery.”

The Miami Police Department said, “The investigation involves a rideshare driver using a ‘silver or black SUV’ who allegedly targeted women at night, waited for their rides, lured them into his vehicle, drunkenly robbed them, and possibly sexually assaulted them. Violation.”

Notably, earlier this month, Danny Morad-Avecilas was taken into custody and charged with two counts of credit card fraud and one count of fraudulent possession of an identity document. Now there are new sexual assault allegations against him.

Uber informed Morad-Avicillas that his license had been revoked and called the allegations against him “disgusting.” A spokesman for the company added: “Words cannot describe this disgusting behavior.
