A 26-year-old man was arrested Saturday after shooting three family members in Philadelphia. According to US media reports, the defendant, Andre Gordon Jr., was arrested in New Jersey after evading law enforcement for several hours.

The victims are believed to be the defendant’s stepmother Karen Gordon, 52; his sister Kera Gordon, 13; and the mother of his children, Taylor Daniel, 25.

Three people were shot to death in two homes in the town of Eastern Falls, Pennsylvania.

The attack also injured the defendant’s mother, who was beaten with a rifle.

Three other residents, including a 14-year-old child, hid while the suspects went through the house looking for them, the report states.

Meanwhile, police said they were unable to determine a motive behind the attack, The Associated Press reported.

After the attack, the defendants fled in a stolen car before hijacking another car in a store parking lot and fleeing to a house in nearby Trenton, police said, adding that they found themselves in a taped-off area. The block surrounded the house.
