Alia Bhatt in saree at London premiere of ‘Poacher’

Alia Bhatt turned heads in a black velvet saree at the London premiere of Poacher. This look has been trending on social media. There is no doubt that Alia looks gorgeous. She shared a series of photos from the event on Instagram. She was seen attending along with her sister Shaheen and mother Soni Razdan. The trailer of Poacher was recently released in India.

In her Instagram story, Alia can be seen giving a scrutinizing look to her outfit. She mentioned today (red rose emoji). In the next two pictures, she takes a closer look at the saree. Posting a black and white photo with Shaheen Bhatt, Alia wrote, “All my best, @shaheenb.” She also reposted a photo shared by Soni on Instagram Stories. In the photo, the three of them were sitting in the audience, smiling and taking selfies. Another photo shows Aaliyah sitting with the Poacher team on stage.

The series is written, created and directed by Emmy Award-winning filmmaker Richie Mehta and stars Nimisha Sajayan, Roshan Mathew and Dibyendu Bhattacharya. The series follows a group of Indian Forest Service officials, NGO workers, police officers and ordinary heroes as they risk their lives to investigate the case. After much anticipation, the makers have released the trailer, which will premiere globally on February 23, backed by Alia Bhatt.

The two minute and thirty second trailer reveals a notorious and gruesome crime involving the poaching of elephants for the ivory trade. It captures the helplessness of officials as they work together to bring the culprits to justice. The suspense builds toward the end of the trailer, as the criminal network becomes increasingly convoluted.

The forest is home to elephants and countless other animals and has been their safe haven until poachers arrived. Poachers relentlessly invade, encroach and kill, putting many animals on the endangered species list.
