The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Delhi, has reversed its decision to remain closed till 2:30 pm in view of the Ram Mandir event. In a circular on Sunday, the institute said that its OPD will operate normally.

In a circular issued on January 21, hospital officials said, “The outpatient department will remain open to care for patients with appointments to avoid any inconvenience to them and to facilitate patient care. All critical clinical care services will remain operational. All Heads of Centres, Heads of Departments, Units and Branch Officers are requested to bring this to the notice of all employees working under them.

Meanwhile, Delhi government offices will remain closed for half a day on January 22 on the occasion of the consecration ceremony of Ram temple in Ayodhya.

The consecration ceremony of the Ram Lalla statue in Ayodhya will be held on January 22, which will be attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and several other dignitaries.

Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena has approved a half-day holiday for all offices, civic bodies and other undertakings of the Delhi government on the occasion of “Pran Pratishtha” ceremony in Ayodhya on January 22, a Raj Niwas official said.

According to a Delhi government official, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has issued an order to close government offices till 2.30 pm on January 22.
