The All India Football Federation (AIFF) on Wednesday said it has closed an investigation into a “verbal” complaint made by a female employee against a male colleague as “neither the alleged victim nor the other party were willing to pursue the matter further” ”. Last week, a female employee at AIFF headquarters made a “verbal” complaint of “harassment” against a male colleague, but she did not file formal charges. AIFF said in a statement that it recently investigated the alleged harassment case internally The Complaints Commission (ICC) “is unable to continue its investigation as the alleged victim and the other party do not wish to pursue the matter further”. “…the ICC is unable to continue its investigation as the individuals concerned deny any complaints and/or further information regarding the alleged incidents.

“…In view of the above, the investigation concluded with a withdrawal,” AIFF said in a statement.

The ICC met to discuss the matter last Tuesday after the woman lodged a complaint, seeking time before taking her complaint further.

In January, AIFF established the ICC under Chapter 2 (4.1) of the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013.
