Adani Green Energy Ltd on Wednesday said it has commissioned 2,000 MW of solar power capacity at the giant Khavda Solar Park in Gujarat, making it the first company in India to have over 10,000 MW of renewable energy capacity.

The company currently operates an installed capacity of 10,934 MW, the largest in India.

The company has commissioned 2,848 MW of renewable energy capacity in fiscal 2024, according to a company statement.

AGEL’s operating portfolio includes 7,393 MW of solar, 1,401 MW of wind and 2,140 MW of wind-solar hybrid generation capacity.

The company aims to achieve 45 GW of renewable energy by 2030.

AGEL’s 10,934 MW operating portfolio will power more than 5.8 million households and avoid approximately 21 million tons of carbon dioxide emissions annually, the statement said.

“In less than a decade, Adani Green Energy not only envisioned a greener future, but made it happen, growing from a simple idea exploring clean energy to a staggering 10,000 MW of installed capacity.
