‘A lot of moments I don’t want to reveal’: Yashasvi Jaiswal on India dressing room scene and Rohit Sharma | Cricket News

Yashasvi Jaiswal is undoubtedly at the top of his game right now. Following his success in the 2023 Indian Premier League, the southpaw made his India debut and never looked back. Jaiswal’s performance in India’s recent five-match Test series against England was even better, with the batsman breaking several records. He finished the series with an average of 89 points across all fronts and scored 712 points in five games. Throughout the series, what cannot be ignored is supporting captain Rohit Sharma, who is always there to support and guide the youngster.

On the field, Rohit shared his wealth of experience with Jaiswal, while off the field, he ensured that the youngster stayed away from the spotlight and continued to focus on his game.

All these efforts paid off in the England series as Jaiswal smashed two double centuries and three fifties. His best score was 214 not out. He was named player of the series.

Talking about his close bond with Rohit in the Indian cricket team dressing room, Jaiswal praised the captain for supporting the players. However, the youngster added that he would keep some moments private.

“It was great to have him in the dressing room. It was great to play under him. There were a lot of moments that I don’t want to reveal right now. Just let it stay with me. The way he supported his players throughout the journey, he The way he talks, the way he hits the ball. No matter what happens, he will be there to support you. I think it’s incredible to see that in your leader.I will continue to learn from him,” Jaiswal told indian express.

India defeated England 4-1 in the Test match and Jaiswal played an outstanding role in the victory.

“I am really happy to receive the ICC award and I hope to win more in the future,” Jaiswal said after learning about the win.
