Passenger goes missing in genderbal after jumping from the railing

Srinagar, July 12: An Amarnath Yatri went missing in Genderbal district after jumping from a railing, police said on Saturday.

Surinder Pal Arora, residents of Ludhiana, were trekking in a group of seven from BRRIMARG from Railpathry, when around midnight, high altitude disease was held by the police, police said.

Arora “demonstrated irregular behavior, began to run up and down, rained cold water, and later jumped from the railing near Z-Morah near a glacier,” he said.

Police, Mountain Rescue Teams (MRTs), and SDRF, NDRF, JKAP, CRP, VHGS, are pressed into service to see it. Drones have been deployed.
