Srinagar, June 25, KDC: Counter Intelligence Kashmir (CIK) apprehended a person to broadcast a fake document allegedly issued under the signature of SSP CI Kashmir.
The accused was identified as Bilal Ahmed, but rather the son of Abdul Samad, but originally the son of 157-Eloci Bagh and currently lived in Zakura, Hazratbal Srinagar used fake documents to allegedly cheat the public.
Acting on reliable input, CIK found that Bilal had collected large amounts from many persons through fraudulent means. When the victims demanded a refund, they claimed that their bank accounts were investigated and showed a fake investigation notice to justify them, Srinagar -based news agency reads a statement according to Kashmir.com.
During interrogation, fake letters were recovered from Bilal’s mobile phone. He confessed to misleading the victims and making documents to maintain money.
He was handed over to the police station Zakura, where BNS has been registered under 318 (4), 336 (3), 336 (4), and 340 (1). He remains in custody as the investigation continues.
The police have urged the public to be vigilant and have informed the nearest police station about similar fraud. (KDC)
