Premium Cherry’s first commercial consignment from Jammu and Kashmir is the head of Saudi Arabia and UAE. A huge market opens for our cherry farmers, which will now get a better price for their produce. ,
The minister also believes that this commercial consignment is a significant filler for the vocal for the local campaign.
Talking about this, the minister expressed on ‘X’ that, “The Modi government is bridge to bring India to India’s position as a global supplier of premium agricultural products.

According to the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, cumulative exports (merchandise and services) during FY 2024-25 (April-March) are estimated to increase by 5.50% to USD 820.93 billion, as the USD 778.13 billion in FY 2023-24 (April-March).
Of this, fruits and vegetables saw an increase of 5.67 percent from USD $ 3.66 billion in FY 2023–24 (April-March), which is USD $ 3.87 billion in FY 2024–25 (April-March).
According to the Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA), “The giant production base provides tremendous opportunities for export to India. During 2023-24, India exported fresh fruits and vegetables 1814.58 USD millions, including fresh fruits and vegetables.”
“Grapes, pomegranates, mangoes, bananas, and oranges account for large parts of the fruits exported from the country, while onion, mixed vegetables, potatoes, tomatoes, and green chilli vegetable contribute largely to the vegetable export baskets,” it has been said. (AI)
