New Delhi:

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi told Newsweek that the country’s digital payment system is coming to the United States, saying it will benefit a large number of Indian expatriates, tourists and students.

Prime Minister Modi also sought to establish peaceful relations with China and said the two countries needed to “urgently resolve the long-standing situation on the border.” Prime Minister Modi said in an interview published on Wednesday that stable relations between the world’s two most populous countries are important for the entire region and the world.

New Delhi has been locked in a military standoff with China for decades and has stationed thousands of armed forces to protect its 3,488-kilometer (2,167-mile) border with its northern neighbor.
