A father and his two-year-old daughter were killed in gunfire in Saleh Mohammad Goat community of Karachi’s Shah Latif Town, ARY News reported on Thursday.

The victim was taken to a hospital but later died from his injuries, police said, citing sources.

According to a police spokesman, the shootings occurred at two separate locations and further investigations are ongoing. Two victims were killed in a horrific shooting incident at Chamrha Chowrangi near Korangi, Karachi.

According to sources, police said 2-year-old Anum and her father Tahir were shot while riding a motorcycle.

It was later revealed that both the girl and her father died from their injuries, ARY News reported.

So far, more than 30 bullets have been found at the scene. The security situation in Pakistan continues to deteriorate, with incidents of violence and theft increasing.

Meanwhile, in another incident in Karachi’s Nazimabad area on Sunday night, two people were killed when a water tanker ran over a motorcycle.

A father and daughter died on the spot when the water tanker collided with a motorcycle at Nazimabad 7 next to the Matrix Commission office, police said.

The youngster was also injured in the collision. The driver of the hydrant fled the scene after the crash, which was caused by speeding, authorities said.
