Jacob Elordi, star of HBO’s Euphoria, is under police investigation for allegedly assaulting KIIS FM staff member Joshua Fox. In the video, Mr Fox can be heard approaching Mr Elordi with an empty jar, asking him to fill it with bath water and “deliver it to the studio” for the show’s co-host Jackie O Henderson, Cue a controversial scene involving Mr Elordi’s character in hit film Saltburn.
“Are you kidding me,” Mr. Elordi said, then asked, “Are you filming?” The reporter confirmed this, and the actor asked him not to do so. Mr Fox said he told the actor the joke “didn’t work” and “didn’t do anything”, so he agreed to delete the tape. “A switch flipped and he became very aggressive. He said, ‘Look at your recently deleted video. I’m thinking if I delete this video, there’s no evidence that this encounter happened. So I said no. .Jacob flipped and pushed me. Against the wall with his hand on my throat,” he continued.
The 26-year-old actor has yet to comment on the matter.
Meanwhile, Mr Elordi, from Brisbane, was nominated for an AACTA Award for Best Supporting Actor for his performance in Saltburn. The event is scheduled for February 10 at the Gold Coast Arts House. The actor’s attendance at the ceremony remains in doubt as the investigation is ongoing.
